Deirdre Gordon joined the Duke athletic department in September of 2010 and currently serves as Director of Iron Dukes Development Analytics & Strategy.


In this role she drives strategy for athletics principal gifts prospects, leads the athletics prospect management and analytics functions, solicits major gifts for Duke Athletics and serves on the leadership team for the Deputy Director of Athletics - Development. During her five-year athletics tenure, she has generated more than $8.5 million dollars in private individual donations, led strategy for three consecutive years of 10-15% year-over-year growth for sport-specific annual giving, and has been involved in eight capital campaign projects including the Wallace Wade Stadium upgrades, the Cameron Indoor Stadium addition, the Taishoff Aquatics Center renovations, the Jack Coombs Stadium upgrades, the redesign of the Track & Field locker rooms, the upgrade of the Women's Lacrosse locker room and the upgrade of the Baseball locker room. 


Prior to her current role, Gordon served as Director of Iron Dukes Major Gifts. She also worked in development for the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University, Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment and previously was the Director of Continuing Education Programs at Duke Divinity School. 


Gordon earned a degree in biology from Duke in 1996.




Gordon lives in Durham with her husband Brett, also Duke Class of 1996, and her two children, Benjamin and Nathan.
